EPS foam
Expanded polystyrene; a plastic cushioning material used as moulded foam and loose-fill foam particles.
EPS foam is lightweight and cushioning, but it crumbles, takes up volume and has limited recyclability. For in-box cushioning, paper fill and honeycomb-textured wrapping paper are alternatives; for interlayers, a paper honeycomb panel can replace it.
