Industrial paper packaging for automotive and spare parts

In automotive and spare parts shipments, parts are heavy, surfaces are sensitive to scratching and pallets are stacked high. B-Wrap Max protects the surface from rubbing, corrugated cardboard dividers and boxes keep parts apart, and cardboard edge protectors and paper honeycomb panels carry the pallet load at the edges and between layers.

Types of spare-parts damage

• Part-to-part rubbing: metal and painted parts in the same parcel scratch each other.
• Edge crushing: strapping and stretch film press on parcel corners.
• Layer pressure: heavy layers crush the parcels below.
• Shifting: on long-haul and export shipments, the upper layers move.

Recommended paper pack

Painted and machined surfaces are wrapped in a single layer of B-Wrap Max; corrugated dividers go between parts; boxes are double-wall corrugated cardboard. On the pallet, edge protectors go on the four vertical edges and honeycomb panels between layers; stretch film and strapping pass over the edge protectors.
