Protection and branded unboxing for cosmetics

A cosmetics shipment carries two risks: the glass bottle breaking and a pump-dispensed product leaking. Both start with movement inside the box. Wrapping the bottle in SafePak®, filling the remaining void with Orbiform® and closing the box with printed Protack® kraft paper tape covers both protection and presentation.

Types of cosmetics damage

• Breakage: glass bottles and jars are sensitive to point impact.
• Leakage: a pump or cap can open on a bottle lying in the box; the product should stand upright and stay fixed.
• Crushed carton: if the product's own retail box is crushed in the shipping parcel, its gift value drops.
• Unboxing impression: plastic air pillows and shredded fill contradict a brand's natural, clean positioning.

Recommended paper pack

Bottles are wrapped individually in SafePak®; in sets, corrugated dividers go between the pieces; the product is placed upright and the void is filled with Orbiform®. The outer box is a made-to-size fine-flute corrugated cardboard box, closed with printed kraft paper tape.

Branded unboxing

The customer who opens the box sees the fill first. Neatly placed spiral paper, a note and receipt on top, the product in the centre: this arrangement gets photographed and shared. Printed tape also carries the brand on the outside of the box.
