Chain of custody (CoC)
FSC® Chain of Custody: the certificate showing certified material is tracked at every stage, from forest to product.
A chain of custody certificate verifies that certified material is not mixed with non-certified material and that records are kept. For a product to carry an FSC® claim, every company in the chain must hold this certificate.
If you want to use the FSC® label on your own product, you must also hold a chain of custody certificate.
